Shadow Casting Reciprocal Learning

Shadow Casting is tool to engage with representation as performative process of study as an absence. It engages with the tools of enlightenment and explores light as a direct engagement of body , space and memory. It transforms the monolithic practice of singular frontal practice of study into reciprocal process of mutual engagement between the explorer and the reference transforming both into a participatory element of study and reflection. It critically engage with the idea of representation into a mutually shared space of presence and absence. It transforms light from being a source of illuminating into a physical material itself and becomes a direct material and the interface between multiple subjects de-centering the notion of centre and the periphery, major and the minor and transforms study into an encounter of multiple centres. It explores light as a transforming phenomenon of physical light to artificial light and explores its presence a mediator between different interpretation of time and space.
